I know this blog is supposed to be about Zumba, but I'm going to expand it a little bit. I want to share other fun exercise programs that Zumba lovers will love.
Why, you ask? I'm currently dealing with what the doctors think is an overuse injury on my tailbone. It led to an extremely humiliating hour of physical therapy in December. And, I don't want that to happen to you all! I hope you'll join me in putting a little variation in your workouts.
So, my goal for the next few months is to try something new every few weeks and let you know what I think. This week: Turbokick!
Turbokick is kind of like kickboxing without hitting bags. It's an intense cardio workout, but it's really fun too! The music makes the class. Each move is specifically choreographed to the music, so it's kind of like dancing. Sometimes, the music makes you feel like you're in a video game!
I tried Turbokick at the Rec on Wednesday...and boy, was I sore on Thursday! Even though I couldn't feel it in the actual class, Turbokick did great things for my lower back and obliques. You bet I'll be going back next week!
