Of course, one of your main holiday concerns is how to deal with all the food. Here are a few tips for how to pick your holiday treats:
- Drink water. Yes, there will be all sorts of punch and alcohol and hot cocoa at your holiday parties, but you're doing yourself a huge favor to just drink water.
- Watch your portions. When you make yourself a plate, just get a little bit of each tasty treat.
- Go for a walk. Even though you might ditch your normal exercise routine during the holiday season, you can always get some physical activity into your day. I suggest going for a walk. Bring the whole family!
- But most of all....don't make yourself miserable! It's the holidays, let yourself eat a little bit of your favorite food. Just remember, moderation is key!
