Happy Holidays!

The holidays are quickly approaching, so today I'm gonna talk about how you can stay healthy and still have lots of fun during this season.

First of all, we like to incorporate holiday music into our Zumba classes.  Check it out:





Of course, one of your main holiday concerns is how to deal with all the food.  Here are a few tips for how to pick your holiday treats:

  • Drink water.  Yes, there will be all sorts of punch and alcohol and hot cocoa at your holiday parties, but you're doing yourself a huge favor to just drink water.  
  • Watch your portions.  When you make yourself a plate, just get a little bit of each tasty treat. 
  • Go for a walk.  Even though you might ditch your normal exercise routine during the holiday season, you can always get some physical activity into your day.  I suggest going for a walk.  Bring the whole family! 
  • But most of all....don't make yourself miserable!  It's the holidays, let yourself eat a little bit of your favorite food.  Just remember, moderation is key!
